In the early days of Rotor Racing, the team would build a car, race it, and sell it at the end of the year to start on their next project. In 1985, it was JT3’s turn, and when its time came, it was sold to Kenny Brown who went on to win a further three races in it. When Graham sold the car to Kenny, little did he suspect that two decades down the road, he would be back running a racing team with Kenny again. By this time, Kenny had long since hung up his racing gloves, and his 17 year old son David, having shone in kart racing, was embarking on the UK Formula Ford Championship. Kenny had kept in touch with Graham over the years, and had never forgotten Graham’s team management abilities, so when the decision was taken to go the Formula Ford route, who better to enlist to the team, than Graham.

This had not originally been part of Graham’s plans for the year, but the more he became involved, the more determined he was to see the project through to a successful conclusion.

From the start of the season, Graham has been very impressed with young David’s driving ability, and as the season progressed, David has matured into a fine racing driver.

Their season has taken them the length and breadth of Britain, (Several times!) and has seen the highs and the lows which any motor racing season inevitably brings. The team was run on a shoestring budget, but performed several giant-killing acts, working on the basis on which Graham has always run Rotor Racing, - "What we lack in financial resources, we more than make up for in smart thinking and inventiveness."

The campaign started at the Easter weekend, and Graham's weblog of the season, starts here, with a report from OULTON
